River Dogs & the WPTAC

River Dogs is proud to announce that as of January 2010 we will be partnering with the World Poker Tour Amateur Championship. We will be awarding our top players from the State Championships with seats into the annual WPTAC event.

All River Dogs players will need to register with the WPT Amateur Poker League (WPTAPL) for eligibility for prizes we have contracted with the WPT Amateur Championship (WPTAC). This can be done online ( click here ) at this time. 

 Registration will be MANDATORY for eligibility for prizes from River Dogs Poker League. We are looking at getting paperwork to have players fill out and signup that way if needed. Players will be responsible for registering with the WPTAC prior to playing with River Dogs Poker League. The registration number will be needed from the winners in order to advance them to the tournament seats either online or in person. We will also be adapting our rules to incorporate the WPT rules of play/tournament rules. We will be turning over to the WPTAC for the next year and offer 6 seats in person to the WPTAC at our State Championships as well as online seats once a month for the winners of the bounty tournaments starting in March.

 The prize package will be as follows for this year:

(Until April 11, 2011. The projected date of the WPTAC Tournament.)

1. At each State Championship there will be six (6) seats awarded for the WPTAC.

2. Airfare will be provided to the top three (3) finishers at the State Championships.

3. All winners will be posted at the WPTAC site.

4. Starting in March, 2010, the winners of the Bounty Tournaments or other league specific tournaments will be awarded online seats to the WPTAC Quarterly Online Rewards Tournament.
