Since we have donkeys, why not take it a step further and create a seperate table for the Jackasse's? The consulation table is there for the players that didn't make it to the final table, but want a shot at earning points. Unfortunately, many of the newer players (and some older ones) refer to it as "just the consulation table." Let's sit down, bet, raise, re-raise,re-re raise, and re-re-re raise, before the flop, and "hey, look at me, I didn't even look at my cards. If you don't want to play serious poker, grab a deck of cards, a stack of chips and start a game at the Jackass table, but please let the serious players play poker.

Not only is it nonsense... its non-dollars! One of the reasons the consolation table is played with reckless abandon is because the raise, re-raisers don't have any of their hard earned money invested in their decision making. Also it is a matter of starting with too few chips. Seriously. In a 2-4 limit game with zero raises but a bet at each opportunity it would cost a player 12 chips to see a hand all the way to the end. If you only start with 20 and a minimum hand costs 12... people will play reckless to try to make a quick score. Start everyone with 40 chips and you would eliminate one reason for reckless play. ----------
