WHY DO EUGENE RIVER DOGS HAVE TO DRIVE DOWN THERE AGAIN, AFTER WE WERE TOLD THE NEXT TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS WOULD BE IN EUGENE!! IS IT BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE DOWN THERE, THAT MAKE U MORE MONEY, SO THE PEOPLE IN EUEGENE SHOULD CALL IT QUITS, CAUSE WE ARE ALWAYS GETTING SCRWED, WELL I KNOW OF 1 PERSON THATS NOT GOIN BACK!!!!

OK, yeah I think the plans with the Eugene Venue fell through, I am sure Chris can explain it better but the Coos Bay Venue is really pushing out the boat,, with a live band and shutting down the Venue to all but RDPL players and even though its a long drive, and potentially dangerous, I have flip flopped, and unless its blizzard conditions over the passes I will make my best effort to attend. and remember GP is the second oldest in the league and have many loyal long time members some of whom contribute their time and efforts, to riverdogs..just look at all of the graphics on this website, contributed by a GP player, and we have never hosted a championship, so do not feel bad Eugene will most likely get one before we do. ---------- Ken Adams (Grants Pass)

To clarify yes from what i have heard there were problems with the venue in Eugene. So the owners had to find a new venue quickly so that they could get it all set. I realize that this is a little frustrating for some of you. Just know that Coos Bay is looking forward to seeing all of you. Al

The problem was the price..... and I honestly don't think they have any interest in holding one up here. I doubt they ever will. there I said it, what's worse I don't think I am alone in my belief.

for the Rest of the league and the owners ,this whining atttude and complaining about the how league is run is not typical of most of the Eugene players, but only a small few,who constanty complain abut how the league is run but still show up every week and play.i am a little disappointed that it will not be in Eugene but hopefully it will happen at a later date, after all business is busness.in the meantime we are looking forward to Coos Bay and the excuse to go to the coast.

Okay, contrary to what you are thinking Zerosum, it had to do with a few issues, besides just cost. We had attempted to contact some venues to host State and we got no reply. We would like to have one hosted in Eugene, but when we were getting down to less than 2 months left until the end of the session, we were needing to find a place that was cost effective and that we could lock in so we can start the planning phase of making sure that everyone will have a great time at State again. As some news for everyone, this Fun Day we will host our first Civil War. We are still nailing down all the details, however, the winner of the Civil War WILL get to have the next State Championship held in their division! Stay tuned to the website, and we will post details once we have them finalized. ---------- Chris Alkire
