    HOW TO POST A PICTURE:

Here is one of many methods for doing so.

1.) Create an account with a photo hosting site. They're FREE. ( A very common photo hosting site is called photobucket.com )

2.) Login to your account on the photo hosting site. ( i.e. photobucket.com )

3.) Hit the button that says "Choose Files."

4.) Navigate on your computer to the file of the photo you want to upload and select it.

((( CAUTION: Size matters. You don't want to upload photos that are HUGE in file size or in physical size. Large files choke the pages when they are being displayed. You should try to target your photos to be anywhere from say 5, 6 or 7 inches wide at most with a resolution of 72 dpi. A standard digital camera will be taking pics at 72 dpi but they are sometimes 24 inches wide. So they will need to be pared down before use or they may just bleed right off the end of the page and not display properly. )))

5.) Once uploaded to photobucket, you should be able to see it on your photobucket page. If the link information is not already displayed, hover your cursor over the preview image of the file and a box will appear with all of that file's link information. Simply click once in the HTML field of that box and the correct information will copy to your computers clipboard.

6.) Now back in the River Dogs website Message Board. Login, choose a thread you wish to post in or create a new one and paste the information into your post.

    VOILA!

You will only see HTML code in your post until you hit the Post Message button.

Once the message is posted the photo will display in the thread for all to see.

How do I display a Signature Logo in all of my posts?

HOW TO DISPLAY A GRAPHIC AS A SIGNATURE LOGO:

The steps described in answering "How do I display pictures in a Message Board post?" are great for a one time posting. However, if you want a graphic to become your avatar ( your signature logo ) that will display as your signature in every post then there are more steps to do.

First you have to do all the steps that are involved in "Uploading" and "Copying" the desired file ( Steps 1 through 5 of the answer for "How do I display pictures in a Message Board post?" ) Your graphic file will at that point be copied to your computer's clipboard.

Then back in the River Dogs Message Board you will need to be logged in. There is a link at the top right of the Message Board page that is called "Account." Click once there. A new page displays. Click on the "Edit Your Online Signature" button. A new page displays. Now "Paste" the HTML code into the signature text box. You can add any other text you wish at this point as long as it does not disrupt the HTML code you just pasted in the box.

Hit the SAVE button when you are done.

From then on, the graphic you copied and pasted as your signature logo will automatically be included (as HTML code) in your posts. Again, just don't disturb that code when you are creating a new post. When you are finished composing your thoughts for any post and you hit the POST MESSAGE button, the graphic will be displayed as your avatar along with any other signature information you may have added.
